A 16-hour program covering 10 key chapters of modern analytical Excel - including modern technologies such as Power Query and PowerPivot. Office 2016 minimum (Office 365 recommended).

Across 10 chapters, master modern analytical Excel - from data entry and formulas to PowerPivot, Power Query and dynamic array functions.

Course content
Data entry and formulas
- How Excel stores data, backend vs frontend formatting.
- The concept of functions, the golden rule of entry, and absolute vs relative referencing.
Excel tables and lookup functions
- The difference between ranges and tables, filtering and referencing.
- Table functions: SUMIFS, SUBTOTAL, SUMPRODUCT.
- Table-joining logic: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and wildcard lookups.
PivotTables and PivotCharts
- Core mechanics and optimal data structures.
- Linking multiple PivotTables via a Slicer, Summarize vs Show values as.
- PivotCharts working together with Slicers.
PowerPivot
- The data model and its advantages over a classic Pivot.
- DAX basics: calculations vs columns, time intelligence and combining calculations.
Power Query
- Importing and combining sources (Excel, TXT, SQL, Web).
- Automating processing and advanced transformations.
- Introduction to the M language.
Dynamic array functions
- Why array functions are a revolution in analytical Excel.
- Core functions: FILTER, UNIQUE, SORT and combining them.
